Cindy Humble

Cindy Humble joins Big Mike in the Morning 5:30am – 9am!

Born and raised right here in Syracuse I’ve been a fan of local radio for as long as I can remember.  When I was little my family would listen to the great Phil Markert sing the school lunch menu and ask if we were ‘buying it or bagging it,’ as I got older it was Rick (Gary) and Ron playing the hits and making me laugh, after that I was a huge fan of Big Mike . . . whodathunkit this many years later I’d be co-hosting a morning show right here in Syracuse with the legend himself, Big Mike?  Needless to say, I’m loving every moment of it! I’m truly a Jack-of-all-trades in that position and enjoy the diversity it brings to my never-a-dull-moment work week.

I married my high school sweetheart and when we’re not working you’ll find us headed south to visit our grandson, or perhaps north to go camping in the Adirondacks.

What would you find in your refrigerator right now?
A nice bottle of Smoking Loon Pinot Grigio.

Is Elvis really dead? Why or why not?
Of course he’s dead, otherwise he would have complained loudly during the autopsy.

If somebody gave you an elephant, what would you do with it?
I think the bigger question here is who is this person giving away elephants?

Favorite things about CNY?
Oddly enough it’s the weather. When it’s good it’s really very good, when it’s bad it’s just too much snow – no consistent threat of hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanic eruptions , frogs raining down from the sky . . . see what I mean?

Who would play you in a movie? Why?
Scarlett Johanssen – Why?… why not? Look, there’s never going to be a movie where someone needs to be me, so I may as well go for gorgeous!

What’s one thing you cannot go a day without?
It would have to be coffee. Unfortunately I’m addicted to coffee, I love all things coffee – the wonderful aroma of coffee, coffee ice cream, iced coffee, chocolate covered coffee beans, the color of coffee . . . yes, it’s quite the well-established addiction don’t you think?

If you could have a room full of anything, what would it be?
Puppies… but only for about 20 minutes.

Favorite concert you’ve seen?
Mark Knopfler here at the Landmark a couple of years ago. I also loved seeing David Bowie at the Carrier Dome back in the 80’s during his ‘Serious Moonlight Tour’
