Brian Phillips

Brian Phillips Afternoons 3-7

What are your hobbies? tennis, bowling, computer programming

Some things we need to know about you are: I’m a native Central New Yorker, married with 3 kids, who tend to occupy all 27 hours of my day, all 8 days of the week

What would you find in your refrigerator right now? boxes and boxes of deli meats, leftovers, lemonade and beer, every imaginable variety of mustard, including jalapeno, which is delicious with pretzels

What do you hate? What do you love? I hate change, but also hate not changing just because “that’s how it’s always been”. I love my family and listening to music

Favorite breakfast food? Every day has its own breakfast – rice krispies with banana and raisins is probably my favorite; I have that on Tuesdays

Is Elvis really dead? Why or why not? I’ve only heard that he’s left the building. I can’t confirm anything beyond that.

What were you like as a child? Smaller, but with a much fuller head of hair.

What super power would you have if you were a superhero? The power to retime traffic lights

If somebody gave you an elephant, what would you do with it? Have a picnic in the yard – as much as I’d love to invite it inside, my house isn’t that big.

Favorite things about CNY? The seasons – even winter, to a point. Like the first day it’s below 20 degrees – that’s when I start being ready for spring.

What’s one thing you cannot go a day without? A cup of coffee… or the 2nd cup. The 3rd is not required but strongly preferred

What’s waiting for you on your DVR? Lots of network prime-time dramas and dramedies. Lots. The wife and I usually watch about 10-12 each season… just enough to last until about July

If you could have a room full of anything, what would it be? I’d rather have a room not full of toys. Just one.

What’s the best part of your job? Getting picked on by Rick Gary every day
