I suppose if you know me that’s not shocking news. It’s my kind of comfort food – Yet I do try to eat healthy when possible, even at the Great NYS Fair. And though there’s no way I will buy the 1500 calorie deep fried donut-burger, here’s something I will not be able to pass up:
The HOT BEEF SUNDAE! A bowl filled with hand-mashed buttery potatoes surrounded by slow-roasted fork-tender roast beef topped with savory beef gravy, sprinkled with Cheddar cheese and finished with sour cream and a ripe red cherry tomato. According to Jean of the NY Beef Council it has only 308 calories… making it a healthier choice at the fair. Costs 5 bucks in the Dairy Building.
